8 ways to find a good auto repair shop:

  1. SHOP AROUND: visit several shops; ask questions; get a "feel" for the people to whom you will entrust your vehicle.
  2. Ask family, friends, co-workers to RECOMMEND a reputable shop.
  3. Contact BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU in your area to check out a shop's reliability.
  4. DON'T SHOP FOR PRICE ALONE. It's important to remember that you are not just paying for the price of the part and the time to install it, but for the professionalism and expertise of the technicians.
  5. Insist on a NATIONAL WARRANTY PROGRAM with a 6 month, 6,000 mile Warranty.
  6. Look for SIGNS the shop has the equipment to properly diagnose your car's problems.
  7. See a shop that employs ASE CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS.
  8. Choose an auto center that provides a CUSTOMER SATISFACTION POLICY.
